Your Search for the Right-Fit East Bay Therapist
You’ve read the books, pushed through, and kept everything together. On the outside, life looks fine, but inside you feel tired, anxious, or disconnected, like something feels “off.”
And now you’re here, searching for a therapist in the East Bay who truly understands your experience. Finding the right fit can feel overwhelming when you’re already carrying so much. You don’t have to sort through it alone.
I hope this page gives you a clear, heartfelt sense of who I am and what our work together might feel like. Therapy isn’t just support, it’s a space where you feel understood, steady, and safe enough to explore what’s been waiting for attention.
If any of this resonates, I’d love to share a little about who I am and how I approach this work.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I offer in-person therapy in Orinda and online across California, supporting adults across the East Bay and beyond.
Hi, I’m Anita.
I’m the founder of Bountiful Health, a boutique East Bay therapy practice providing warm, relational, and attuned care for adults seeking meaningful change.
I support individuals throughout Orinda, Lafayette, Moraga, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Berkeley, and Oakland who want to feel more grounded, understood, and connected to themselves.
Therapy with me is collaborative and intuitive, centered on making sense of what’s been hard and reconnecting with a steadier, more rooted sense of self. Whether we meet in person in Orinda or through online therapy, you’ll find a space of calm, curiosity, and genuine presence. A place where we slow down, explore what’s been keeping you stuck, and begin to create room for something new.
Why I Do This Work
Bountiful Health was created as a sanctuary for compassionate, relational therapy in the East Bay. It’s a boutique practice where your well-being is genuinely cared for, and your story is honored.
My passion for this work is rooted in my own healing journey and the transformative experience of feeling truly seen in therapy. That experience taught me that healing unfolds through presence, honesty, and connection, principles that guide my work every day.
I’m especially drawn to reflective, growth-minded individuals who sense there’s more to life than simply holding everything together, people who long to feel grounded, self-compassionate, and more at ease. My work is guided by the belief that healing unfolds through safety, attunement, and deep relational presence. I support clients navigating anxiety, shame, low self-worth, complex trauma, relational patterns, and identity questions, helping them move toward greater clarity, steadiness, and a more connected sense of self.
Personal Background
I come from a multicultural background; born in the U.S. to an American father and an Armenian–Greek–Maltese mother, and spent much of my childhood moving between countries. As a “Third Culture Kid,” I learned early what it means to adapt, seek belonging, and hold many identities at once. These experiences now shape the way I support clients navigating life transitions, grief, identity questions, or the feeling of being “in between” worlds.
Growing up across cultures taught me to listen not only to words, but to the emotions beneath them: longing, resilience, vulnerability, and hope.
Later in life, I chose to leave a long career in project management and follow my calling to become a therapist. Returning to graduate school at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) was both humbling and transformative — a reminder that meaningful change is possible at any stage of life. This is something I now help my clients discover for themselves through relational, integrative, depth-oriented therapy.
Outside of my professional life, I’m a wife and mother to two daughters who continually teach me about presence, patience, and unconditional love. I find joy in reading, cooking, and traveling, practices that keep me curious, grounded, and connected to the richness of our shared humanity.
Professional Background
I believe meaningful therapy emerges from a thoughtful blend of clinical skill, attuned curiosity, and genuine care. My professional path reflects rigorous training, a deep respect for the therapeutic process, and a lifelong commitment to growth.
I bring humility, openness, and a steady dedication to my clients and to my ongoing learning — qualities I consider essential for offering grounded, effective, and compassionate care.
